Overview

BreakIQ is a Chrome extension that helps live stream buyers evaluate the value of sports card and trading card break spots. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the extension works.

Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

BreakIQ does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information.

Data the Extension Accesses Locally

To function, the extension reads limited information from web pages you visit on supported platforms:

• Whatnot.com / Twitch.tv: The extension reads publicly visible sold item names and prices from the page DOM to calculate average spot prices. This data is processed entirely within your browser and is never sent to our servers.
• Chrome Local Storage: The extension stores your recent set searches and user preferences (such as player keyword lists) locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your browser.

External Services

The extension communicates with the following external services:

• eBay Browse API (via our proxy server): The extension sends search queries containing card set names and price ranges to retrieve publicly available market listings. No personal data or browsing history is included in these requests.

Our proxy server does not log, store, or retain any request data. It exists solely to securely authenticate with the eBay API on the extension's behalf.

Affiliate Links

eBay listing links displayed in the extension contain eBay Partner Network affiliate parameters. If you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This is disclosed within the extension interface.

Permissions Explained

• activeTab: Allows the extension to read the current tab's page content when you are on a supported streaming site.
• scripting: Allows the extension to inject the floating dashboard UI into supported pages.
• storage: Allows the extension to save your preferences and recent searches locally on your device.
• Host permissions (whatnot.com, twitch.tv, ebay.com): Required to run the content script on supported streaming platforms and to access eBay market data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties. We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or any form of user telemetry.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
